          Richard Tobias Queen and Ann King were the parents of 
Ann Edwardina Queen Slye.  That made the King family the 
next search.  Ann King’s parents were Adam King and Grace 
Doyle.  Adam King’s ancestors remain a mystery.  There are 
some unsearched possibilities, but this rendering of the King 
family history begins and ends with Adam.   
 

And I know if I'll only be true, to this glorious quest,

         Grace Doyle was the daughter of Alexander Doyle and 
Elizabeth.  It was Alexander Doyle who was the family 
connection with Georgetown University.  Alexander Doyle is 
mentioned almost as a footnote in the late papers of Bishop 
John Carroll.  Doyle is also mentioned in the Catholic histories 
of Maryland and in the Special Collections of Georgetown 
University.  He financed the building of Trinity Chapel on the 
Georgetown College campus.  In return Bishop Carroll 
granted to him and his descendants, in perpetuity, first pew 
rights in the chapel, a lien on the pew rents of the chapel to 
recoup some of his investment and guaranteed the right of 
an education at Georgetown for his male children and their 
descendants.  Thus ends the quest which began almost 25 
years ago.  This family line descends from a female child of 
Alexander Doyle.
