Located in South St. Louis, on a quiet street lined
with dissimilar houses, Florence’s home might not get a
second glance from the casual observer. Once inside it
becomes obvious that this is a home sustained by family love.
Every space is filled with pictures of children, grandchildren
and great-grandchildren. In or out of frames, the faces of her
loved ones are seen hanging on the walls, setting on the
tables, fixed to the lampshades and the curio cabinet…. In
her mid-eighties, Florence finds her family to be her greatest
