Not able to dissuade them, the men offered to escort the 
ladies to the old neighborhood. 
 

We all set out together.  It so happened there was a 
murder in Old Chicago the night before.  Just seeing 
the investigation unfold was exciting.  There were 
detectives and police everywhere.  We had a drink or 
so and then were ready to leave.  The chivalrous men 
bowlers escorted us back to the Hoinki site and the 
fun night was over.
